One day, I took a half used up bottle of sepia colored ink in my studio and added water to it. I dipped a torn piece of paper into the mixture to test the color and, to my surprise, it came out pink! I tore up square after square of paper, immersed each in what was by now a larger pool of diluted ink and collected an array of shades of pink I never expected to love. I wanted to mount my “rose” collection and, like botanical specimens, I pinned them up side by side, ready for display.
